The conversation Tara and I had was still bouncing around in my head. Telling me I wasn't normal? That she was concerned about me? Where does she get off.. if anything I should be concerned about her.. going out all the time, not coming back to our room. That Janey girl was odd enough to raise some eyebrows. Of course Tara was right. I wasn't really normal, I mean being an ex-demon was one thing, but now an ex-ex-demon? Yeah. Hint of complexity there. She left to go hang out with Janey again no doubt and I was left sitting in our room. It was slowly becoming my room though ( ... )

/Or perhaps a start will come right to me…/

It was a good thing Anya introduced herself with her name, since Kyla couldn’t quite recall it, something she immediately chided herself for. Paying attention to such small details may prove a crucial skill in some situation. To give her some credit, she did recognize Anya, not only from the tour but from class as well. The most surprising thing had been that Anya actually remembered her. Kyla had been keeping to herself quite a bit, after all. But perhaps the general inhabitants of Sunnydale were more observant than she was giving them credit for.

A friendly smile came over her face along with a look of recognition as she moved her books slightly aside, making room for the other girl to sit if she so desired. “Anya, right…you’re in my feminist theory class as well, aren’t you?”

For a moment I thought I had picked the wrong person. I had kept my head down in most my classes, trying to see if I could visualize the person in my head before I actually saw them. Trying to hone my skills the best I could. I was out of practise, but I knew I could get back to the top of my game in no time. It was just hard managing school, a roommate with her suspicions and vengeance.

She slid her stuff over and smiled. I was right!

“Anya, right…you’re in my feminist theory class as well, aren’t you?”Oh crap. One of those classes full of angry women? Probably. One of my best classes to get little seeds of hate. I remembered the class just not many of the people in it ( ... )

I raised an eyebrow at her on the comment about not paying attention in classes. Yes, a syllabus usually continued at least a general outline for a course, but not paying was just…unwise at best. But then again, I had to remember that not all the students here had the same priorities as I did. Though from the looks of things, staying alive should be priority number one for the general populus….

"So classes going okay for ya? Oh! Hey how is your roommate!"

Her question snapped me back to the situation at hand. “My roommate is fine, as far as my knowledge extends. At least I would be confirm so if I ever saw her in more than passing. I’m beginning to think she might be a phantom of some kind.” A slight smirk appeared on my face.

“And classes are- quite interesting so far to say the least. It’s gong to be quite an eventful semester if everything’s like that first feminist theory session, hm?”
