New HAVEN!!! How in good lords name is that more "you." People lock their doors when they drive through New Haven, I dont think they lock their doors when they see you. There is like a 4 block radius that Yale is on that people like, (oh and IKEA) other than that not so much. Maybe if you check out Branford or Milford (the other sides of NH) I might be a little more approving. Basically even though CT has a rich feel to it, that is not the case in ANY of the cities. All the rich and middle class live in the suburbs.

well i wouldn't be living in New Haven!!!! lord no! but there's more jobs in my field down that way. unfortunately when you're a graphic designer you can pretty much only work in a "city"....so my options for work outside of a major city are extremely limited. there's NOTHING in Hartford so my only other option is to look for work closer to NYC. but i won't be living there! i'd be living more in like Middletown or something. I'm willing to drive 45-mins to work if I have to. I'll be commuting longer than that into Boston from Marlborough starting the last week of October! But at least the companies closer to NH are more me and much more related to what I do and want to do. I don't want to take any more steps backward in my career. We'll see. I won't be moving to a dangerous neighborhood though!
