Will it ever get easier for me to see burning cars or bodies on fire? I know it is television and no one is dead, but that doesn't make it any easier. Sometimes I still have to look away...
I have to look away when someone is holding a gun to their head on TV, seriously like every time (and that's a lot!), but it doesn't bother me as much as it once did (I don't cry)- I've had to accept that it's a part of our "entertainment" (not so entertaining to me, but oh well).
That's not very comforting, I know - but I don't think there's any getting away from it. There's no way you won't think of your sister if you see a fire like that, and I doubt you'll ever want to see a re-enactment on her death, fake or otherwise - so, you turn away.
