"Ah-"
Sehun heard Luhan in the kitchen accompanied by some sizzling noises.
"Ah!"
He decided that something was probably wrong and slowly made way into the kitchen where he found Luhan panicking in front of a medium sized pot that was boiling over furiously.
"OH FUCK. HYUNG. FUCK. TURN THE STOVE OFF. WAIT, NO, WHAT ARE YOU DOING GET THAT TOWEL AWAY FROM THE BURNER IT'S GOING TO CATCH FI--AGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH."
Twenty minutes later, the fire was extinguished, and an exhausted Sehun was sitting on the floor trying to suck up some clean air while a terrified Luhan was doubled over in a coughing fit.
"Hyuuuuuunnngggg," Sehun heaved laboriously, patting down Luhan's fly-away hairs. "Hyung, what were you trying to cook?"
"Ramen," Luhan replied pitifully from his position on the linoleum.
Sehun just shook his head, as he tried to stifle an incredulous laugh, and pulled his boyfriend closer to him. "Let's eat out tonight. My treat."

It was five AM, and Sehun woke up to the sound of fitful coughing coming from the living room. He rolled out of bed and pulled on a shirt as he dragged his tired limbs towards the source of the sound.
"Hyung," he called out, "Luhan hyung…?"
Luhan rasped out a feeble "Sehun-ah" from his position on the futon.
"Heyyyyyyy," the younger murmured sleepily, reaching out to touch the older's forehead. "Your temperature is so warm, let me go get you some water…"
"Wait, don't go…" Luhan grabbed at him.
"I'll be right back with some medicine, okay?" Sehun loosened Luhan's grip on his wrist. "I promise."
When Sehun returned, he managed to slip a Tylenol between Luhan's resistant lips, sealing them shut with a careful kiss.
It wasn't until eight AM that Luhan finally fell back asleep to the sounds of Sehun humming softly in his ear. He was curled up on the futon against an exhausted Sehun who did not mind this arrangement at all.
Five hours later, Sehun awoke with a raging fever that threatened to split his head open.
All he could do was sigh.

"CAN YOU PLEASE STAY STILL?"
In a feeble attempt to keep the squirming body underneath him in place, Sehun forcefully pressed a hard kneecap in between Luhan's last two vertebrae.
His victim squeaked in protest. "Sehun-ah! Ouch It hurts! LET GO!"
"Are you kidding me right now, hyung," Sehun rolled his eyes, "I highly doubt you are flexible enough to rub aloe on your own back."
Luhan stopped resisting when he felt the aloe being squirted onto his back. He was inwardly kicking himself for his feeble strength and lack of persistence which Sehun always counted on to get his own way.
"I'm only trying to help you," Sehun cooed to a stiff, yet passive Luhan as he palmed the cool, green gel across the latter's tense shoulder blades.
"I don't need help. It's not my fault that I got sunburned."
"Whose fault is it, then, hyung? Whose fault is it."
"…The sun's for being so bright. The sand's for being so inviting. The ocean's for being so beautiful."
Sehun concluded that there really was no understanding Luhan's logic.

An all-too-sober Sehun ended up half carrying Luhan home one night when they had gone out for a hard-earned evening of clubbing. Luhan had gotten drunk off his horse and was somehow instilled with a false sense of solid manhood that gave him the courage to sass at a couple of brutes who started groping him in all the wrong places.
Sehun hadn't stood in the way, either. He knew what was coming.
"Here kitty," one of them drawled out in the best seductive voice he could muster.
"What did you just call me? You vile, disgusting piece of--"
"Calm down, sweet thing…"
Luhan heaved a punch, his knuckles coming in contact with the nose of one man and the jaw of the other with a loud crunch. Where he got this sudden rush of adrenaline, nobody knew.
He maintained a smug expression of sheer satisfaction even as the bouncers promptly "escorted" he and Sehun off of the premises.
So Sehun ended up with one of Luhan's thin arms hanging loosely around his shoulders while having his own arm slung low around the chipper drunk boy's waist, hand resting on a protruding hipbone.
"Sehuuuuuuunnnn~"
He looked over at the inebriated man-child who had practically mewled his name. "Hm?"
"I love you," Luhan confessed in a flushed whisper against Sehun's neck, head lolling towards the warm body beside him.
Sehun tightened his hold on Luhan's waist in response and smiled.
"I love you, too."

"Loving youuuuuuu~ooh~ooh~~ YOOOUUU~OOH~OOOOOHH~
"Hyung," Sehun groaned, gripping the steering wheel a bit tighter, "Hyung, can you keep it down a little? I'm trying to concentrate on driving…"
Luhan temporarily paused his rendition of Sistar's Loving U to glance sideways at the driver from his position in the passenger's seat. "What is there to concentrate on… We're stuck in traffic, and I'm bored."
"If I don't focus on the road, then we'll probably just crash into the car in front of us. Or next to us. Or behind us. Oh, whatever, the point is that both of us will just end up dying a horrible vehicular death."
"Right," Luhan said, voice dripping with sarcasm, "Or a spaceship could drop down from outer space and one of the engines could explode and we'd get hit with the shrapnel if you're not carefully paying attention to the road. Or worse, the spaceship could just fall DIRECTLY ON TOP OF US, and we could die that way."
"Do you want to die here on this road. Even before we make it to the pet store to get your rabbit."
"…WHAT SHOULD I DOOOoOooOooOoOoOoOooOooo~~?

Sehun gave up on trying to talk reason into the creature that sat beside him. He was sure that Luhan was not a human, not by any means. Maybe a rabbit. That must be why he wanted one so bad, Sehun thought to himself while stretching his uncomfortably stiff back as far as the confines of the car would allow.
He caught Luhan shifting in the seat next to him and looked over. "Are you tired yet? Is it nap time?"
Luhan managed to fold his legs up into the seat and had settled with his chin resting on denim-covered knees. With a look of accomplishment on his face, he replied with "OPPA~YA~" in the best satoori that his accented Korean could manage.
"You do realize that you're not Bora, right?" Sehun stared for a second but quickly turned towards the dashboard. He felt his face flushing. Admittedly, he was caught off-guard by Luhan's sudden outburst of aegyo along with the fact that Luhan had just called him "oppa."
Luhan just hummed the last of the chorus, pausing just before the final line of the song before belting it out loud at the top of his lungs.
"BABY I'M IN LOVE WITH YOOOOOUUUUuuUuUUuuu~

One day, Sehun came home to a Luhan that was curled up on the sofa completely immersed in a book. He quietly set his bookbag down in the foyer and removed his shoes while balancing two plastic cups of bubble tea in one hand.
"Look what I got us today," Sehun said loudly, hoping that Luhan would look his way and help him hold the bubble tea while he tugged his Chucks off.
Unfortunately, Luhan didn't even respond, let alone rush to help him.
"Hyung," Sehun tried a second time, "I got us bubble tea." He walked into the living room and stood next to the boy on the couch, blocking the light from the window. "Here, take it."
Luhan was quiet for a moment, but he eventually spoke up in response to the person who was currently obstructing his only source of light. "Okay…let me just finish this paragraph…"
That paragraph turned into a page, and that page turned into a chapter.
Sehun was lounging on the floor right next to the sofa, watching the taro bubble tea that he bought slowly separate. He shook the cup and stirred the straw around so that it wouldn't look so pitifully neglected. This action seemed to jar Luhan into consciousness, and he suddenly noticed the bubble tea that Sehun was holding in his hand.
His eyes lit up, and Sehun was more than willing to surrender the cup to his boyfriend.
As soon as Luhan's hand came in contact with the frosty plastic, he giggled and thanked Sehun. "This book is so good," he managed to say in between frequent sips and thoughtful chewing. "You should read it when I'm done."
<
"Read it to me," Sehun demanded, laughing at Luhan's childish behavior. The way that his hyung acted was becoming so familiar to him that it was only at times like this, times of extremity, that he even noticed that his lively partner was strange. Cute, he decided.
After reading the first paragraph aloud, Luhan suddenly stopped.
"What's wrong, hyung?"
"Sehun-ah, I just realized that I forgot to say something important to you when you walked in the door…"
"What is it?"
"Welcome home! I missed you."
