If I had to describe La Boheme in one word it would be: life-changing. Breathtaking. Tear-evoking. Magical. Everything-I-want-to-be-when-grow-up. Okay, so that's not one word. Whatever. I still felt that way. I want to BE that ( Read more... )

What do you put on yours? I always get the big dog with cream cheese and garlic and I put ketchup on it. Sounds like a heart attack waiting to happen, right? LOL!

Thank you my dear!!! Your contribution to my recital meant SO MUCH to me, and to the audience... My parents literally did not believe me at first when I told them that you were the same person who played "Amy" in opera scenes last year, because your voice has grown so much!! (Not that you were bad before or something... it's just that you've gotten even *better*! You know what I mean. :o)) And hey, we made everyone cry. It's a good day when that happens! :-D
Sounds like you had a really full, but fun, weekend! I'm glad you got to spend some time with your mom (please thank her for coming to my recital for me). Too bad you have to cap it all off with the most amazing choir concert ever.... *sigh*... are you SURE you wouldn't rather be a professional choir singer instead of an opera singer??? :-D

As much fun as singing compositional crap for the rest of my life would be... I would rather perform music worth listening to for an audience. Something they understand and can connect to. I didn't see any tears in the audience during folksong #4, but yay for making the whole audience cry during the L.W. 4tet!

Seriously, I think you and Tiffany tie for best senior voice recitals EVER @ CWU!

I capped off the weekend (after TMACCE) with Katie. We made guacamole and watched ABC family... that's why she's my best friend. No one else will watch sappy family friendly movies, sitcoms, and TLC documentaries with me.

See you tomorrow!
