I would love England forever if it gave me a 20 degree summer. I would like our little island to get its act together and have summer arrive and stick around instead of constantly teasing us. #smallrequest
That drink looks awesome. I would have been just as pretentious and ordered one too. :)
Anything much warmer than around 20 and I'm kinda miserable as I spend my time worrying about finding shade, so around 20 would be perfect and hopefully for more than a couple of weeks. If we're going to get snowed in and the like, then we deserve a decent summer.
It really was good. They had a whole menu of different varieties on it. I may be dragging people randomly for lunches and dinners more often now until I can sample them all. ;)
I completely agree with you about Run. My dad isn't very up to date lol, and heard Leona's version and i got irrationally annoyed at him liking it before at least listening to the original. Simon Cowell seems to be good at ruining songs though. ;)
That tea looks good, and i would totally get excited about it being served in a wine glass with a flower in the middle! It looks pretty - i bet i'd even have sneaked a pic of it, ha. I did that with dessert in a restaurant a few weeks ago...it was so well presented that i took a pic. I'm kind of sad though. ;)
Everytime I watch those daft countdowns on TV and they list the Leona version on it I have to fight the urge to turn it over. Seriously, it's not that hard to pick the original in these lists.
It was so good. I was really tempted to take a vid of it flowering. lol
It was just green tea - it didn't even taste particularly floral considering there was a flower in the middle of the glass. It just looked really, really cool. lol
I think because it diffuses in the boiled water that it almost liquidises - I mean part of the flower broke off, but it was practically liquid. Gotta say though, it didn't look particularly attractive once the drink was over - it was like a blob at the bottom of the glass.
I'm glad you're ok after your fall and yes, REVENGE!!! LOL
And that drink looks delish. You said: "it blooms as you drink." is that right or did I miss something ( I have to admit I was mesmerized by it)? And how did that work (if it's so)?
Yup - what happens is you get served the tall wine glass filled with boiled water, a seperate glass filled with ice, a spoon and a small green ball. You put the ball (which is the green tea) into the wine glass and as the tea diffuses the ball opens up and the flower blooms. It genuinely is really, really cool to watch. lol I was so close to getting my phone out and recording a vid of it!

Did it taste any different because there was a flower in it? Lol.
I'm always cautious about having drinks with things in them. Some things just aren't meant to be in liquids.
