"Hide and go seek isn't any fun if the other party doesn't play," Dru said, closing in on the little girl she had snagged away from her mother earlier. It was night, and Angelus had said Dru could go Slayer hunting. And what better way to hunt a Slayer than to have live bait ( Read more... )

After getting myelf together and talking with Dawn some, she went back to bed and I needed to get out of the house. So, what better thing to do then patrol. Although, I was still scared to death about Angel..Angelus being somewhere out here. But I had a feeling he wouldn't bother me for a while.

I sighd, pulling my jacket closer to me. It was a bit chilly out tonight. I walked down the sidewalk, towards the first grave yard I was going to hit tonight.

I was about to turn the corner, when I heard a high pitched scream..sounding like one from a child. I turned around and ran in the direction it was coming from. I grabbed my stake out of my pocket and ran into the grave yard.

I stopped when I heard the screaming end. I looked around, franitcally, trying to see where it had come from. Then, my eyes stopped and I stared at what I knew had been the cause of it.

Dru grinned and waggled her fingers at Buffy. "'Ello," she said, bending down and wrapping her arms around the crying child.

"Would you like to play with us?" Dru said, lifting her eyebrows and at the same time lifting the child into the air. "Oi'm SURE you do." Dru held the child, who had started to wail louder, above her head.

"Play Slayer!" Dru yelled before bending her knees a little and shooting the child into the air. "Play," she hissed again, after the screaming child had left her hands.

My mouth dropped open as I saw Dru release the screaming child into the air. I sprinted towards where the girl would fall and I amazingly caught her before she could hit the ground. Damn. Being the slayer has its perks here and there. I set her down on the ground and smiled at her quickly, and told her to run away. She was down the road in a second.

I turned my attentin back to Dru, who was just standing there, grinning that evil grin of hers at me. I walked closer and flipped my stake around in the air some. I stopped about five feet away from her.

"So. This is your idea of fun is it Drusilla?" I asked, in a sarcastic tone.

"Tsk, TSK, Slayer," Dru said with a wave of her index finger. "Releasing that child into the night all alone. Do you really think she'll make it home before another nasty creeps up on her and," Dru didn't finish, just made small little gasping noises and pretending as if she was being torn to shreds. She stopped after a moment and giggled.

"Games ARE fun, aren't they?" she said in her 'excited' voice.
