Perdy entered the Bronze, slinking through the crowd to the bar, occasionally letting her body sway with the music. She could tell Ben was working as at least the tunes were semi decent.
Perdy was still slightly annoyed at Ben for having almost flirted with that musician girl. She hadn't quite forgiven him, but she was prepared to let him make it up to her.
Propping herself up at the bar she yelled to where Ben was busy serving drinks. "Any chance a girl can get served?" She bit her lip and grinned a little. It was good to see him again.
Ben lit up immediately, his eyes not even trying to hide the obvious happiness. He literally turned from a young girl he was chatting with in mid-sentence, leaving her annoyed as he wrapped his arms around her, giving her a long, passionate kiss right there in front of everyone.
"Woman... I have missed you more than you could possibly imagine. I've felt like half of my heart's been missing. Look... I have a lot of female friends. And yes... I flirt a LOT. But Perdy, I swear... you're the only one for me."
"I better be, or there'll be trouble." She said joking, but with a little bit of serious subtext. She'd had serious trouble stopping herself going out and killing the trash who had dared to flirt with her Ben. She kissed Ben again, her anger at him definitely softening.
"So, what's been shakin'?" She asked. Truth be told, she'd been out of the loop for a little while. The whole evil business had ground to an almighty halt in the mayor's office. Apparently some other big evil was brewing, and the mayor didn't want to step on anyone's toes with any untimely deaths or rituals. He'd said that at the moment the business was all about shaking hands with the right people, and he really didn't need Perdy to do any of that.
"Quite a bit, actually... and for once? Good things." Ben flashed her that little grin of his that was usually reserved for when either he was being naughty, or was really excited about something.
"The band I decided to back... we're going to work on an agreement to sell some tapes of their live shows exclusively at the club, and split the funds. Our new bartender is proving to be a helluva worker, and we hired her cousin as a waitress/busgirl on a probationary basis, plus... I've started looking into that... 'thing'... you wanted. Trying to find someone who might be able to help you aquire it." Of course, he was referring to her quest to regain her soul.
