Stephan stood near the back of the crowd. He'd been on his way to Sid's when he'd noticed the gathering, and he'd paused to see what was going on.

As a rule, anyone who made a lot of noise about "making their town safe again" was suspicious, at best. Stephan had no idea who these guys were, but he already didn't like them.

Lindsey stood with the rest of the lawyers at the firm, right by the stage and watching the first kid read her essay. Honestly, he had to try and keep a grin off of his face at the moment. Well, he smiled cordially, of course. The grin that he was keeping from his face might have frightened a few people. He just found all of this very amusing.
