Cara was easy enough to spot, emerging from the Espresso Pump with headphones on, a cup of coffee in hand, and bobbing her head along with whatever music she was listening to. She hadn't noticed Abbie yet.
Abbie had thrown himself into his homework with a genuine effort, only stopping to look around every so often. He shaded his eyes against the sun and looked around. He spotted Cara, and made a final few notes before gathering his books and heading her way, casually.
"Oh, just fine and dandy," Abbie said, and smiled. "You seem chipper enough to light up the whole town. I wonder what they put in there." He indicated the coffee. "I was just on my way to get something to eat. I studied right through lunch and I'm starving."
