Fred headed down the street toward one of her favorite dinner spots. She patted the cell phone in her jacket pocket, thinking about calling Charles to check on him but then figured it might be best to wait for him to call. After all, if he was in the thick of things she wouldn't want a ringing phone to distract him at a crucial moment.
Humming softly she continued along the darkened street hoping the soup du jour wasn't sold out.
After walking a few blocks away from Courtney’s Apartment building, I had ducked into an alley so I could watch the crowds of people pass. Four times already I had left this dark hiding spot, ready to make my move on one of these people, only to be stopped….by no one but---myself. With the forth victim, I actually did manage to at least draw a small amount of blood before tossing him out of the alley. It's not that my hunger had gone, but that my mind was elsewhere and I couldn’t focus on feeding. It was annoying and with each person I let go my anger grew

Fred exited the deli with a paper bag full of soup containers and sandwiches. She'd bought a couple extra in case any of the others showed up at the warehouse. Talking mostly to herself as she walked she mumbled, "Of course, I'm so hungry I might just gobble it all up myself."
Chuckling softly she smiled and hummed to herself as she walked.

"My thoughts exactly..." I hadn't meant to say that out loud, but anyway... I seemingly appeared out of nowhere and stood in front of the girl, looking her up and down. "You, you know my Angel."
Angel's circle of friends was small, but I've never seen this one. The new girl perhaps? That man who was with Angel in that alley before...he had said her name, but what was it? "You're the one all the fuss was about earlier?"
