So, I promised Court I'd take her shopping...so shopping we will do. Ran into a hitch right away though...no big rolls of bills in my pockets. I was laying on my bed, reading, yeah, I was reading. Book of poetry, with a piece of red, silk ribbon bookmarked a page. The Hightway Man by Alfred Noyes. Writting in 1901. About a theif who fell in love with a landlords daughter, then both being slaughtered by the brittish army. Well..it was a good poem ( ... )

She was reading or something bookish...and for a moment, I wondered if she got that from me or Dru. I finally decided that it was something of her own.

"Ye heard me."

She seemed surprised...I was shooting for overjoyed 'thank you father'.

"Right, let's get goin' then. I 'ate bloody lines. All those stupid wangkers can go ta hell."

Walking over to her, I ran my hand down the side of her face tenderly...lovingly.

"Yer me baby girl."

I stood up, look up at him..he was a few inches taller than me, mind you.

"Yer me baby girl"

As he ran his hand down my face, so much affection..it scared me, and it made me want to tell him so much. Tell him all he missed 'bout me, yet I still want to scream at him for all the birthdays he missed. But, can't do that now. And expecially not in a shopping mall. I'm certainly a lady, not a hoodlum.

"I know dad.." I reply, smiling shyly. "Lets go, then.." I say.

God..I really do not know who I sound like. Or think like. Mum says him.

"Right...need to get."

Looking embarassed at what I did, I started out of he room. Making a beeline for the front door, I was secretly scared that she didn't like staying here. She could use this opportunity to run away...

"'Ave anthin' ye've been eyein' Court?"

Reaching the door, I swung it open and stepped outside. I waited just beyond the door and to the side for her.
