So, I promised Court I'd take her shopping...so shopping we will do. Ran into a hitch right away though...no big rolls of bills in my pockets. So I went and saw Knight boy and hit him up for some spending cash. Used the old, 'you're like an uncle to her...' bit to get it. Kid's too soft

As he ran his hand down my face, so much affection..it scared me, and it made me want to tell him so much. Tell him all he missed 'bout me, yet I still want to scream at him for all the birthdays he missed. But, can't do that now. And expecially not in a shopping mall. I'm certainly a lady, not a hoodlum.
"I know dad.." I reply, smiling shyly. "Lets go, then.." I say.

Looking embarassed at what I did, I started out of he room. Making a beeline for the front door, I was secretly scared that she didn't like staying here. She could use this opportunity to run away...
"'Ave anthin' ye've been eyein' Court?"
Reaching the door, I swung it open and stepped outside. I waited just beyond the door and to the side for her.
