Note to self...don’t ever fall asleep on a swing. Very uncomfortable. Also, don’t EVER fall asleep on a swing that happens to be on property that isn’t your own...’cause chances are you’d just end up being awakened by the sprinklers going off ( Read more... )

I was on my way to a big demon bust and Slayage when I came across the oddest thing in the cemetery. A girl was jumping from tombstone to tombstone...what's more she sensed as a Slayer. Just how many were there running around now? Sighing, I stuck my hands further in the pockets of my black leather jacket and walked towards her.

"Is it that you have no respect for the dead or you're hoping that you'll stir up some undead nasties out of those graves."

Another wayward sheep to save...I just hope this one wasn't crazy. So far she was a goodways in the crazy category in my opinion. Hopping between tombstones? What sane person would do such a thing?

"Hmm...take your pick. Either one is fine by me. Though...the second one really wouldn't be out of the question."

I answer before even glancing at the person who spoke. Jumping down from the stone I was currently on, I give him a look over, then stuff my hands in my pockets....slightly mocking him. After taking a glance over my shoulder I then look back to him with my head slightly tilted.

"Shall I apologize to them then?"

I already said sorry to the one I had knocked over, and even took the time to pick it back up. Would someone with 'no respect for the dead' do that? I think not.

"Actually, it would be. There aren't any demons at the cemetery tonight. Underground or above."

She showed the Slayers' typical arrogance and disregard. Such things really got old...not that they were appealing to begin with. Of course, such attitudes seemed to be the norm for people in this age.

"You may if you wish, I am not here to tell you what to do."

She looked familiar...and upon closer inspection, she sensed like she didn't belong here. She was out of phase with the time around her...an open wound in the Powers' plans. I didn't have the time to spend investigating, however.

"Have a lovely time disturbing the dead...I must return to reaching my objective for the night. Unlike the Slayers, I know where evil lurks."

Giving her a small bow, I turned and began to walk past her. I was on my way...and nothing would deter me from shedding demon blood tonight...

Last time I checked I didn't have the word 'Slayer' tattooed across my forehead. Even if I did...it could have been because I like the band...which I dont...but he didn't know that. A girl cant exist in a graveyard at night without being accused of being a slayer? What has this world come to?

Did he just bow? I kind of felt like I should salute to that action...or something, but he just brushed by me before I could figure out exactly what that 'something' should have been. Whats with people walking away from me? It only results in me following them, as witnessed with Erin the other night. So naturally I followed him too!

"Good, you track down that lurking evil, then--I'll kill it! Speaking of killing--how did you know I was a slayer"

Smooth lead-in huh? Sorry--don't do subtly.
