Easter festivities
So I made it home for the Easter weekend on Friday night in one piece ... thank God since I was running on about 2 hours of sleep!
It only took me about 4 hours to make it home. I would have made it there in about 3 and a half if I hadn't been pulled over for speeding in Standish. I was pissed because I got pulled over right as I was coming off the expressway and I was in the middle of passing someone. And the cop car was unmarked, AND I knew the cop ... he used to ump some of our softball games in AuGres and Standish. But for some reason, he was a total ass to me when he stopped me. So I was going to try to hide the fact from my parents for a while because I knew they'd be pretty pissed since I JUST got a speeding ticket last month, but my dad was going through my purse to put a new insurance card in my wallet and he found the ticket. Surprisingly, he was super nice about it. He just gave me the lecture about me learning to slow my ass down. And neither of my parents has found out about my nose piercing yet ... hehehehe.
It's just been really nice being home so far though. Friday night, Jenny, my parents and I walked to the video store and we rented movies. So last night, we all watched Mona Lisa Smile (good movie by the way). Then, I got to bed around 11 or 12 (my sister and I sat up talking for a while after the movie) and I didn't wake up till this afternoon around 1:45. I WAS really tired, but it's also because there aren't any windows in my room here, so it's completely dark, and I don't have a clock in there anymore, so I can never tell what time it is.
Anyway, then today, I changed the oil in my car with my dad, vaccuumed and washed my car, and we tried to buy some silicone so we could fix the side panelling, but it turned out to be white instead of clear, and ACE is closed tomorrow, so I guess I'll have to wait till sometime this summer to fix it. And I was going to tint my back windows this weekend too, but I have a ton of homework that I've been working on and my dad was working on taxes. So that will have to wait until later too.
We had our Easter dinner tonight so I wouldn't be so rushed to go home tomorrow night. It was sooo good, I miss home cooking. I tought my mom and sisters a new card game last night after dinner too and it was hilarious because my mom was doing kind of shitty at some point in the game, so after each hand she'd throw out a string of swear words.
I'm not really that tired right now, but I should probably go to bed seeing as how I have to be up in 7 hours to go to the church breakfast with my family. Grrr... oh well, I haven't been to church in a LONG time, and I never go anymore anyway, so it's not that bad. I just don't really feel like driving all the way back to Kalamazoo tomorrow. Blah! Hopefully I can make it the whole way without getting a ticket or getting into an accident!
