Happy Halloween to all those celebrating it. In Slovenia they're trying to introduce it to us as a "traditional" holiday which annoys me as I see it's mostly a way for merchants and pub owners to make more money. I love our February/March carnival, based also on history, with all the traditional rituals and carnivals all over the country. So I hope ( Read more... )

It's tomorrow. It's called that way because everyone goes to visit the graves on that day. So it's like a day in the memory of the dead. But unfortunately these past few years it has become very commercialized

Very interesting, thanks for the knowledge ;) I just had a class last night in Anthropology that taught us how people in Mexico celebrate halloween and it was very interesting (the day of the dead it's called). Yours seems somewhat simular ;)

It might be. It's a catholic tradition and Mexico is mostly catholic, so it could be the same thing.
