It's been a long week but I finally got a day off. I've spent most of it doing nothing. Got some good news though, I've been recommended for a managers position at work. Today would have been my Mom's 70th birthday were she alive. I find it amazing?scary? dreadful? that sometimes I have to remind myself of things that remind me of her. I still miss her. Some days are worse than others. Somedays I have found not to think of her at all and that doesn't bother me anymore. I guess I've finally accepted her passing.

Since I last wrote I've done a lot of things. On January 6th I went and saw The Phantom of the Opera on stage. Absolutely loved it! Can't remember who was in it but I love the story. Yesterday afternoon, my roomie and I went hiking at Morristown National Park. It was very nice to get out into nature for a while. We took the dog with us and she had a blast as well. Found out yesterday that I have to work all day on Thanksgiving. You the heck goes to the movies on Thanksgiving? I guess I'll find out. Went into the city tonight and saw Mamma Mia! It was awesome. My roomie and I saw it in Portland before we moved to Jersey but this was better. Part of the stage moved up and down and HELL! we were on Broadway!!!
