Waiting for the Other Shoe . . .

For the most part, things are not going so well right now. One of my Grandfathers past away last weekend and another is in the hospital with a Stroke.

My little brother had a football game tonight. He did very well making two tackles. My Stepdad told stories of other games Grandpa Walt had attended, things he had said, and how much  would have loved to be there tonight. One of my favorite submissions for the slideshow was of Grandpa Walt watching his sons and grandsons play baseball. (The other was of him dancing with my aunt last Christmas.)

The festivities, for lack of a better word, begin tomorrow night. Everyone is getting together at my Mom's house for dinner. This is so all the relatives from out of town have a chance to get together and talk before the big day. Saturday, we have graveside at 10am on the far side of town with a 11am Memorial service at the 'family church' nearby. Then I have work from 2-6, getting off just in time to meet the family for dinner at Hodel's.

I am terribly worried about Grandpa Craddock as Stroke was the first stage with Grandpa Walt. Apparently, the whole left side of his body is unresponsive and he may never be able to play music again. This would be horrific blow to him; Grandpa is know throughout San Jose as The Jazz Guy. He HAS to get better . . . I can't imagine life without him.

They say bad things happen in threes, I have seen it to be true. Please keep my family in your prayers.
