Happy New Year everyone!

I've been posting to this journal very little and I was going to use it for my HP fanfiction writing. I've been writing a little and publishing nothing. In fact, I haven't even finished any. And I'm signed up for the fanfic100 challenge, so I need to write and finish 100 works. This brings me to my first resolution:

That meme is really pretty accurate, isn't it? My result was spot on as well.

If you happen to stop by in Germany, tell me in time - we might meet up, get embarassingly drunk and sing politically incorrect songs in the streets at night :)

Yay, that sounds fun!!! I was originally planning to spend all my time in Germany, but I think it will be too crowded because of the World Cup. I'll probably fly in or out of Berlin, however. It would be really cool if we could meet up and have a drink (or many drinks), followed by a round of loud drunken singing in the streets.

I don't think the country will be terribly crowded. Except for the places where they put up big screens to project the matches on. And they have to be crowded - I remember watching the German matches of the European Championship in a cinema. When their projector broke in the middle of the match, angry people nearly ran amok in there :)

Cool - I'm not even terribly far away from Berlin.

Eastern Europe sounds good. I've been thinking about a Rome trip next year.

Good luck for Fanfic.

Italy is very nice. I didn't like Rome too much, but it's probably because I went there in July and it was sweltering. But, once I got past the heat, it's a gorgeous city. I especially loved my visit to the Vatican.

happy new year.
Oh you want to make it to Europe. I think you should go to Budapest. The spa there is known all over the world (it's cheap and it's beautiful (30's architecture). Czech is lovely too, but I do prefer Budapest!

I was actually considering Budapest (in addition to Slovakia). Unfortunately, I'll probably only be able to go to Europe for two weeks because I'm so broke (I want to go for a month)! I don't think there will be any way that I'll get to see even a small fraction of everything I want to see. By the way, have you ever been to the Kalovy Vary spa? I thought that sounded great. Maybe I should skip that and go to Budapest?

This is the part of planning a trip that I both love and hate. I love it because I get to hear about all these wonderful places, but hate it because I realize how many things there are to see, but how little time and money I actually have!
