I had a good birthday though. Got some shopping cash. And Chinese food and cake. Yum.

Third night in our house. It's going well. Everyone is sleeping in their own rooms. The cats came yesterday. Oreo is doing great. Jinx is still a bit scared bit getting better.

Painted the house more today. We are nearly done but Olivia's room and the upstairs bath will take longer. There was a lovely surprise of five layers of wallpaper that's 20 years old.

We got our keys. Already started painting. :) hopefully be moved in by Wednesday!

Counting down the hours till we get the house. We drove past and the workers are almost done the new roof. It was in the sale the old owners were gonna do it. Saves us $ and headaches! It looks SO good!!
My mother has been difficult all day. She's pouting and nosy as I'm trying to pack. I understand its hard for change. But change must happen.

House tomorrow!!!

Signed the papers. Gave them a huge bank draft for my down payment. I get my keys Friday.
Drove past it and the new roof is getting installed today. So no lawyering needed for that. So one less headache.
The keys gave me the cold they bought home with them this September. I still had my sinus infection. So now I feel even worse.

Lawyer appointment tomorrow. They broker messed up and thought we were putting down $6000 extra on the down payment. So now I have to pay $160 for her to get an ammendment drawn up to change it.
I'm over buying a home. There has been SO much stress. And yes I am grateful for this chance but holy fucking balls!!!

5 days till my house key. I'm so excited. It seems unreal especially in our housing market.
I'm picking up paint this week and that's about all I need before we start moving. There's still a lot of packing to do. But I should be able to do a lot before Friday.
