Oh gawds, I love this story so much. Like P&P but better because theres serious issues about industrialization and workers rights dealt with. I love too how John doesn't apologize for who he is, Margaret comes to appreciate him rather than change him. And his mother, so fierce, I love her! I wonder if her and Margaret will ever get along. Read the Gaskell novel afterwards, but found it inadequate compared to the TV show. Signed up as a member of Armitage's estrogen brigade afterwards, he's probably my all time celebrity crush. Sorry for the long ramblings, this scene always makes me emotional...

Such a great series! Plus I'm glad that it made a lot of people aware of the book - I don't think it's terribly well known outside of the UK.

YESSSS! These two are the best. I actually like how it takes the entire series for a kiss. Super drawn out but completely worth it!
