Finally able to observe undetected, I settle in to read the entire situation.

Hahaha! That sounds like virtually any cat when a new baby is brought into the house.

Oddly enough, ours did not seem surprised and was okay with it. It's as if he already suspected. He was a very mellow kitty overall, and such a gentleman...

This is based on our "grandpuppy" coming to visit. Our cat is actually the spawn of Satan and has grown men trembling in fear from her. She's a sweetheart to her tribe though....mostly. She hasn't welcomed the newest cat at all -- they both keep their distance; one rules the living room, the other the bedroom. :)

Bringing back memories of when I brought our first dog home, haha. My cat was NOT HAPPY and made sure to let me know at every moment of the day about it. Loved this one!

This refers to our "grandpuppy" who is very much an exuberant puppy, though we'd get a stink eye whenever we've brought home a new four-legged family member. Usually tolerance is about all she can manage, with a timely HISS if they get too close or in her way.

LOL. My daughter and her guy are trying right now to introduce two pampered kitties. It's crazy-making.

Oddly, she usually gets over the new introductions after a while. It's the visitors - human and four-legged - that send her truly into a conniption.

What a great way to do this, with the humans being traitors. This was lots of fun that you managed to pack into only a few words.

Thank you. This cat of ours truly views others - species and individuals - as far inferior to herself. Everyone is feckless in her mind, I'm pretty sure of it.

Cats definitely know they're superior. You can see it in their eyes.
