I have felt so sad all day thinking about Eriko and the hell she had gone through over the last couple of years. Although, on reading her journal, she was very upbeat about her treatment and managed to do some wonderful drawings all through it. Here is a drawing she did for me when I was in hospital in April, 2014.

Of course, I remember very well those lovely drawings dear Eriko made for you back then. So full of love and warmth and a gentle humour, that never failed to put a big smile on my face.
I feel so lucky to have met her in person, though only once, a year ago exactly, at the Scarsdale Pros gathering, but later that day she, her husband and I also went on a walk to Abbey Road and took some great pictures. I came back home with a big smile on my face. She had that effect on you :)

I can't even begin to imagine what her family must be going through, but she'll be sorely missed in our fandom too. Such a unique voice, such an artistic talent and love of life.

Oh, those are wonderful. Her art was truly amazing--as joyful as she was. Thank you for sharing these, and your memories. It is such a sad time for us, and of course even more so for her family.

Thanks for posting your card! It is so awful that she's gone. I hope her and Mead are having a grand time some place with plenty of Pros!

She was a wonderful, thoughtful individual. These are lovely. She will definitely be missed.
