:D :D :D

There isn't an answer for why Jim could see his dad (or anyone else) because I couldn't decide for myself why he could see them, whether it was a psychic thing or like Ghost Whisperer, just that George was real. :)

I'm so glad you enjoyed it!!!

This was great. I loved your characterization of George, and the interaction between Jim and Bones. Lovely work.

:D George ended up being a mash-up of Bones' and Jim's personalities, with a mature, parent-like feel added for good measure. I always got afraid of George just seeming like a conscience for Jim, always doing nothing but reprimanding him or giving him advice he didn't exactly want, things like that. But I'm pleased to hear it worked. :)

Glad you enjoyed!

I loved this!

Jim really needed someone in his corner. I'm glad his dad was able to stay for a while, until he and Bones worked it out.

It wasn't until I was writing that part that I realized that George staying for Jim, instead of waiting for Nero to be taken out, was more... fitting. My George didn't strike me as the kind of person to linger that long for revenge. :)

Glad you enjoyed it!

That was really, really lovely. I thought it might get cheesy, with the whole seeing-ghosts thing, but you made it work. Just right. :)

I can see how the prompt has the potential for cheese, but I watched the first three seasons or so of Ghost Whisperer and I liked how the whole "seeing-ghosts thing" worked in that context. Plus, I happened to read Charlie St. Cloud in the middle of writing this - not the greatest book in the world, but I loved the interactions between Charlie and his dead brother. :)

I'm glad you enjoyed it - I've really loved your stories, so your comment means a lot. :)

I haven't seen Ghost Whisperer, and I haven't read Charlie St. Cloud, but either way, you definitely reached an interesting balance in this story, and I really enjoyed reading it. And I'm absolutely tickled and delighted that you like my stories, too!

If it means anything, I teared up writing it. :) Especially when George left.

I'm so glad you enjoyed it!
