I have all sorts of plans to relocate my CDs, move my DVDs over the shelves where the CDs currently are, then use that top shelf to actually hold books. BUT -- relocating the CDs requires storage box-things for them and those require money which requires a job and I haven't quite finished filling out that app for Old Navy yet. /o\ Also, I'm not sure the shelves holding CDs will actually hold all of my DVDs. bookstores closing is always super sad. our nearest borders closed, and it sucked because i'd been going to an open mic there for four years.

but yay! on the new books! if you have room, and the energy, you could always buy a pre-assembled bookshelf at an unfinished wood store ( if you have one nearby ) and stain it yourself! those are fairly cheap, good quality, lookit-what-i-did! type awesomes.
