Wow, it's been two years since you posted "Upon the Midnight Clear"? How time flies! I loved that story, and I think it translated really well into the ATF universe. Good job moving the story into modern times. And the bit about Maggie's real identity was very sweet. :)

I think it's been two years. Last year I was writing the SN "O Holy Night" so I'm pretty sure "Midnight Clear" was the year before. Glad you liked it. I'm hoping it will help shake loose my SN muse, which has been extremely fickle these days.

Fantastic. I loved the OW one, and this is just as good.

I particularly like the way you get God and faith into the story without it seeming forced. I loved the contrast between Chris's view that God's only given Vin bad things in his life, and Vin's view that God's given him so much. I thought both Chris's prayers were very much in character - very honest and to the point. I think you were right in the 2nd not to have him suddenly changing his views, but being ready to think about giving God a chance.

The h/c was up to your usual high standard! And as always, characterisation was spot on, from Chris and Vin to the appearance of the rest of the boys at the end.

A very lovely Christmas h/c fic. Thank you.

Thanks, Rhiannon. It means a lot that you think this fic lives up to "Midnight Clear," since I'm pretty fond of that one. In fact, the biggest reservation I had about trying this fic was that it wouldn't be as good as the original.

Hope you have a lovely Christmas!
