WatermelonsOur first floor residents at the nursing home are considered "skilled and acute care" patients. And they are. Severely. Everyone dreads doing activities on the first floor because you don't receive feedback like you would if you were talking to a second floor resident or someone who wasn't elderly or ill at all. Sounds like interesting work..it's a shame there always has to be someone whose job description must clearly state " Bring Down the feelings of the other workers".
Some people just aren't happy unless they are being assholes. That's life for you. I've taken the stance that I'll just tell people off when they do. Someone has to..or else these people will just NEVER learn. And if it goes father...I'll..I don't know..break their kness in a parking lot with a tire iron. That sounda fairly reasonable..and I'm sure it would be something they will never forget.
By the way..PLEASE don't take that advice. Just ignore them..smile and nod..and watch a little part of yourself die in the process. x.x Someone will break their knees eventually..trust me ^_^
