History: The first five years of Sasori's life were nothing but idyllic. Born to two perfectly healthy, non-psychotic nin, he was spared the very worst of life in Sunagakure. All that changed when said beloved parents were killed in battle, and Sasori was left, orphaned, to move in with his grandmother, Chiyo. Sasori's parents' death left a mental scar on the child, which persists even to this day. At the time, Sasori became introverted, a habit he's grown into over the years. Noticing this, his grandmother, a renowned puppet-maker herself, elected to teach the young Sasori the art of puppetry, little knowing what she would set in motion. At first, things went well. Sasori's first puppets were replicas of his parents, a little odd perhaps, but having them around genuinely seemed to take his mind off of things, and so they were allowed to stay. The child grew almost worryingly attached to these false parents, going so far as to treat them as though they were alive. However, Sasori quickly grew tired of these fake parents, and began to resign himself to the idea that his true parents were never coming back. The only thing that had changed was the acquisition of a brand-new obsession. Over the next few years, Sasori quickly became one of the greatest puppet-masters that Sunagakure had ever seen. Each of his creations rivalled the last, and as creepy as they were, they were all extremely effective in battle. But once again, there were limits to what Sasori could achieve, and so he began to develop a new technique - using human corpses to build puppets with all the advantages and none of the problems. Not least of these advantages is the ability to use the former ninja's special techniques, something which would normally be impossible, said ninja being dead. Because of the unorthodox nature of the human puppets, Sasori eventually skipped town, stopping only to murder the Third Kazekage, the leader of Sunagakure, and turn his body into a puppet complete with the Kazekage's unique abilities. Not much is known about Sasori's life in between leaving Sunagakure and joining the Akatsuki. It can be assumed that he began to disguise himself as one of his puppets, going by the name of Hiruko. He kept up this disguise during his time in the Akatsuki, and many people outside of the organisation thought Hiruko to be Sasori's one and only form. Regardless, at some point Sasori became one of the Akatsuki, a group of highly talented renegade ninja. He was partnered with Orochimaru for some time, and the two got along quite well, each being just as creepy as the other. Once again, however, Sasori was left alone when Orochimaru was forced to leave the Akatsuki after attempting to take control of Itachi Uchiha's body. Sasori was then paired with Deidara, who although more annoying, was a much more suitable partner. Sasori was shown to hold a grudge against Orochimaru after he left, to the extent that he sent spies specifically to spy on his former partner. The beginning of the end for Sasori was set in motion when he and Deidara were assigned to capture the one-tailed Tanuki that resided in the body of the current Kazekage, Gaara. Although the pair succeeded in capturing Gaara and extracting the monster from him, they split up soon afterwards and were attacked seperately. In Sasori's case, he was against Sakura Haruno and Chiyo - although things went well for him at first, one by one each of his puppets were destroyed, leaving him to resort to using his own puppet body to fight - despite the obvious advantage of being almost immortal, Sasori was eventually killed when Chiyo used his own parents to stab him through the heart, the only living part of his body that remained. We're assuming that Sasori has been brought to Jigoku Apartments while just barely alive - he's still in his puppet body, and the last thing he remembers is blacking out right before his death.
Personality: Sasori's most obvious trait would be his impatience - he hates to keep people waiting, or to have to wait around himself. He's also very stubborn about his views on art - as something eternal, to be appreciated forever. He likes to argue, even in dire situations. For the most part, Sasori is calm and collected. He doesn't usually panic about anything, and since he isn't likely to be harmed, displays a certain amount of arrogance towards dangerous situations. He has a permanently bored expression, although he can look vaguely annoyed, too. Usually, the vaguely annoyed comes right before whoever he was arguing with is met with a heavy dose of poison, therefore solving the problem and restoring the look of boredom. On the rare occassions when Sasori has cause to be more than annoyed, he gets angry quickly. Again, impatience often gets the better of him here and he winds up making mistakes in an effort to just get things over with. Sasori also has a tendency to go a little... manic when pushed to the extreme. In the incredibly unlikely situation that Sasori's in real trouble, he will go completely off the deep end, resorting to extreme methods to ensure his escape, regardless of the trouble it would get other people into. In fact, Sasori is pretty unconcerned with other people in the first place. He had to be incredibly cold in order to carry out his experiments, after all. His pride won't allow him to ask for help with simple things, resulting in a solitary nature. The only things he has contact with voluntarily are his puppets, who he seems to prefer to ordinary, living people. Sasori has shown himself to be quite intelligent, able to find ways around almost any obstacle. Some would say he makes life a challenge, as he's continually striving to be better than perfection.
Biggest Fear: Having spent most of his life finding ways to escape death, the thought of dying (again) would upset Sasori quite a bit. It's also possible that his desire to harm Orochimaru could be interpreted as being afraid of his former partner, although that's pure speculation.
Powers: Sasori happens to have upon his person a number of weapons, the most destructive of these being a flamethrower in the palm of his hand. Sasori's arms disattach to reveal blades, which Sasori is pretty skilled with. Sasori is also able to manipulate his puppets with ultimate prescision, providing him with a means to attack from afar. Provided that said puppets are around, of course.
Notes: Sasori has the general appearance of a 14 year old boy. He does not appreciate people assuming that he's actually that age, or pointing out that he's actually very short.
