Brilliant... and an excellent holiday choice as well.

Though I don't think the end of the world means you get to stop writing ... My mother -a retired librarian- believes that if there is an afterlife, heaven's the place with a library that has *A*L*L* the books (including the ones that authors didn't have time to write while alive). So lots of reading and writing still to do after the apocalypse!

May they thoroughly enjoy (and fare nothing worse) a 'petite apocalypse' (I just invented that, cause the French call an orgasm "petite mort". One hopes it would be sort of an uber orgasm) or four. Thanks again, sunset. As you know, any excuse will do. And never forget the ancients all over the world were keen observers of the sky and thus there's shitload of holidays to mark certain stations. Just saying. And if it makes anyone feel better, I don't think the Mayans themselves think the world's going to end. Besides, Christmas and New Year's are coming up!

Petit apocalypse - I like that! I've just taken to making up my own holidays if I can't find a handy one to fit my stories. Keeps a little bit of surprise in them (even for me!)
