So, what do you all know about hard drives and replacing them... yourself? My mother is now here with my replacement hard drive, and the instructions are COMPLETELY PICTURES, NO WORDS. I have no idea why they would do that, but it's definitely stressing me out more than it should. I'm going to google it and see if there's anything on youtube, but I ( Read more... )

What kind of computer do you have?

It should be fairly easy, might involve a couple screws but it should just plug into the slot. The only thing you may have to do is remove an adapter off the old one if there is one and put it on the new hard drive.The hardest part may be just taking the unit apart to get in there.

Depending on the type of system you have I may be able to get you some extra detailed instructions from my techs here at work. Let me know!

You're so sweet to offer! If you get a chance to ask the techs, it's an HP G62, but seriously, don't go through any trouble. I figure that it can't be too hard, but the whole lack of sentences ONLY VAGUE PICTURES thing threw me.
