Last Wednesday night, I was on the floor being a human mop trying to clean. I was kinda scared to be on the floor in the first place since I fell at a friend's and couldn't get up on my own because of my right leg. ( and well, once before that...) I was scared that might happen again, but I put it out of my mind. I've always lived on my own. I have lived through a lot and now I am scared of being stuck on the floor? So, I laughed and got on the floor to clean and played with the cat while I was there since it was taking awhile to get up on my own. Then, I realized at over an hour down there and falling at attempts to get up, I was in trouble. I called a neighbor and her & her boyfriend wrenched me up into bed. Shaken and embarrassed to say the least.

The following day, that Thursday, I fed my mini-zoo and hopped into the shower. It was a normal day. I had been having trouble with my shower chair not staying put, but figured once my friend, Sarah, got back to town she'd round me up to the store before I ever got hurt from it. Well, anyways, I stood up in the shower and at the same time had a terrible headache to the left side of my head and then my right leg trembled and gave out from under me. I had no cell access this time on the floor and was far too wet to get back up. All I could do was try to 1/2 dress myself and scream for help. Someone called 9-1-1. Four guys came and convinced me to go to the hospital for my hip & and my head.

The e.r. doctor said he doesn't know what was wrong with me but as they are required to give everyone discharge papers mine would say hip strain and he urged me to see my neurologist as he said any patient with cerebral palsy has neuro "issues" which I found offensive. I also found severely offensive the Forrest gump jokes made by the staff while I was there -- I am beginning to dislike the "new" hospital. I argued with the e.r. guy that I never hit my head upon falling, but then when I stood up to go home that's when I felt it.

I've had the same headache on the left side since I fell, but can't get in to get an earlier appointment. My "buddy" Lilly cat was jumping in my lap everytime I screamed help, like "duh! people I am helping you."
