I read a lot of cat behavior and reason for biting articles the other day. The next time she tried to bite I leaned into the bite and like the article said it confused her for a moment.
When Lilly tried again I leaned into the bite and said a very firm & loud "no" "stop" "ouch" and that made her actually let go and lay down facing away from me with her head down. Some time later she came up to me to give me a cat hug so I gave her a treat to reward her for not using her teeth.
This pattern happened at least three times last night. If I saw she wanted to bite or chew I got out her favorite stuffed monkey on a string and played with her until she was worn out.
This morning I over slept her breakfast by 10 minutes something that would normally make her so angry as to bite me but this morning she slept in too and when I woke up she gave me a hug. Maybe she understands now that she is not the dominant one in the household.

I'm glad I didn't give-up on her :)
