I love orangies. I also love to talk to Rocki, since she's the only one who talks to me even when she doesn't want something. We have fascinating conversations. Someday I might even be able to figure out what we were talking about ;)

Yeah, it's kinda humorous. Some of her meows come out sounding like a 'click' versus a meow. She likes to talk :) Then again, she's female ;)

She sounds a lot like my Nestle... follows me around and head butts me. I think she just likes to make sure I know she's there. =) She's also trained to our 'I'm home ritual'.. as soon as I walk in the door after work, she comes to meet me at by the dining room table where I pick her up and cuddle here and wander to the bathroom and turn on the tap for her to have a drink of fresh water. I'm surprised how quickly she picked up on that.

Too soon to tell what ritual she'll want to take up but so far, she likes to come to the door when I get home. Kinda cute :)

Yeah, it makes the place feel different. Not that I was unhappy before but, it's different coming home when somebody/something is there waiting for you :)

I wonder how she will do when you're at work? I'm glad you got her on a weekend. That way you can bond with her for a couple days before you have to leave her and go to work. :)

I think it'll likely take some time for her to accustom to my schedule. My previous cats used to somehow know what time to go to the door and wait for me. My mother once told me when she was visiting that Malcolm went to the door every day at 3 pm, and waited. Perhaps, she'll adjust to a similar scenario.
