Here is my thought on the whole gifted thing coming from a family where there was one gifted child and one who was not, Adam was in gifted cause he is a different kind of thinker , he doesnt think the way most do
Ex: he is in 2nd grade the teacher says "draw what you did on your summer vacation", adam is frusterrated and cries because to him he thought, how can i possibly draw everyhting i did on my summer vacation???.

although adam may be brilliant he is rather unorganized and sometimes dosnt think things through.

I myself was never in gifted, but i am very organized, think things through and am still pretty bright.

I dont think that they should base "being gifted" on iq becasue i know that alot of people would be called "gifted" when in reality they were just smart.

I pretty much think that it is a differnt style of learning that qualifies someone as being gifted and requires a certain teaching method

just my thoughts, i may be completely wrong cause i was never in gifted but hopefully this will help your paper. :)

I was in gifted from 2nd grade to 8th grade....heres what I got out of it:

*Since you are smarter, we are going to seclude you and make you even more of an outcast to the fragile society of middle schoolers

*Smarter kids deserve more: responsiblity, feild trips, candy, priveledges, and pressure

...i'll think of more if they come to me
