HI LAUREN!

you say nothing and then you say too much, I don't know where to start commenting :-P but I did enjoy reading your post and had plenty going on in my head while doing so. (In a good way such as I agree with that etc) but I just don't have energy to go back and rethink it for a comment like I should be doing for an assignment right now.

More to the point...we need to do something!! I'm so goshdarn busy but we need to figure it out anyway. Keep Oct 30th open? We may be doing a Halloween/Fall party thingy. Carving pumpkins and all :) I'll have to let you know. Otherwise I'm booked till Nov. Hope this ramble made some sense. and hope all's going well.

don't let the man get you down
::hugs::

Halloween funness I'm there. Tell me the where, when and etc as soon as the info become available. I think Mark even has off that weekend. We were going to give out candy, but yeah...that's not really fun...seeing as how we only had like 10 kids last year.

Ok...gotta go...sugars ran off with my slipper...

Love ya

Oh I wont let the Man get me down, cuz I am a woman and well we are in charge. :-P

don't let other people's judgments stick with you for very long. the professor was obviously not judging you as a person but only a few moments in your college career. she definitely jumped to a lot of conclusions.

as for people questioning your career choice, don't even entertain it. you live your life every day, and if your job is challenging, fulfilling and meaningful to you, that is what matters. most people end up switching careers at least a few times in their life anyway. you just did it sooner.

i too had a job 2 days after graduation. it's not the best job. but it's a job, related to my degree, and it's full time with benefits. it's a start, and i am happy to be doing something related to my degree. people tell me that i need a better job that pays more, has more regular hours, is less of a commute, is a more reputable newspaper, is actually writing (instead of editing/design)... but i am comfortable here, and that's what matters. keep your spirit up (:

Thanks :)

I try not to let things get to me and for the most part I dont lose sleep over it. I just needed to get my feelings down or I'd go nuts! lol.

Thanks for the encouragement. I still have to remind myself that I just turned 21...i've got LOTS of time! :) Well...unless the world ends...

Best of luck to you with your newspaper job! :)

I'll attempt to comment more often! I often don't have much to say rather than incessant babbling so I usually refrain, but you're not the first friend of mine to note my lack of commenting (although you didn't point me out specifically).

It's ok. It wasnt meant to be a passive-aggressive jibe at anyone in particular. ;0) No worries. I dont comment all the time either...

Nono, didn't mean to accuse you of making a jibe at me. Just saying... I tend to not comment, and it's been pointed out before by people who did specifically call me out. ;) But see? Two comments to this post. Not bad so far, hehe.
