Iran hasn't been making nuclear weapons, just like they had been saying all alongUnbelievable. What's to say that Iran couldn't start "another covert nuclear weapons program?" How about the fact that high level intelligence analysis rules it out until 2010

The problem is that the terms, "technical capabilities to make a bomb" and "ZOMG BOMBZ!" are regularly interchanged in these kind of political soundbites. But the fact that they'd be years away from enriching enough uranium for a bomb, without any notion of their ability to actually develop a bomb with that fuel, would indicate this is not the looming mushroom cloud we are being cowed into believing - even if they are trying to put into place critical dual-use technologies that may enable them to "someday" decide to continue down that path.
