No wonder Joe thought Harry was stuck on Sanzo in Paper Airplanes. This may have to do with my personal fondness for Sanzo despite the many reasons not to be fond of him -- he'd probably take any such foolishness as a great personal insult anyway -- but you really nailed his weird brand of charisma.

Sanzo is compelling in his own distinctive way--he is their leader, after all. Thank you--I'm glad you liked this take on him.

I love reading more of this universe. :) It's very vivid and intriguing! And I'm loving learning about Harry and Sanzo.

Thanks for writing and sharing more!

Thanks so much. I'm so glad you're enjoying my exploration of this setting. Not to jinx myself, but I think I need to do another story with them at uni, with Sanzo and Professor Sanzo.

Squeee... This means there's more to come. ^_^

Love your Sanzo - quirky and definitely grouchy. John Lennon - HAH!!!

And Harry is so adorable with his giggles. *snorts.

Thank you! Glad you are enjoying.

By the way, if we extend the Beatles metaphor, I'd say Gojyo is Paul and Goku is Ringo.

Once again you make the characters fully themselves, fully three dimensional, yet native to where you place them. Hakkai's following was so canon and so well written, his thoughts, his reasons, and the place you were showing us.

Love the vow of glaring!

(That viola has a strong presence. It's not going to turn out to have a white dragon emblem?)

Thank you so much--your comments made me blush. And you're a genius! I hadn't thought of the viola as Jeep but it makes so much sense. In the 2009 story Harry has a white cat, but it's not the same thing. But now, thanks to you, the viola has a back story! Viola = Jeep is now canon for this AU (tho 2009 Harry can also keep his cat).

I'm both flattered and dismayed at having influenced a major sunspot work. By all means keep the cat. As a cat person myself, I'm sure Harry is, too.

If you do decide on a draconic viola, I foresee cat+Jeep politicking which makes Gojyo and Goku's back seat antics look as good natured as...well, as they are.

Like everyone else, looking forward to the next chapter.

The viola idea is golden, I do love it, thank you. And Harry is quite fond of Liberty, but he's (the cat, that is) not really Jeep-like, in the sense that this is a more-or-less realistic AU and canon Jeep is a heightened version of an animal (though I have had a couple dogs who came close. Then again, I tend to seek out very smart dogs and train them really thoroughly.)

So the viola will not be personified, just really important and loved and with a Jeep-type backstory (found in trash, repaired, is a really good instrument of mysterious origin).

Not sure I'd call them chapters, but I am working on more. My voice keeps wanting to go Hakkai, but I am trying to do some Sanzo POV.

Fantastic. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. This story had a marvelous sense of subdued energy, like the moments in a horror movie when everyone is freaked out and we're just waiting for something to jump out, or the moment right before the main couple in a romantic movie kiss, or the moment right after a main character in a long-running TV show is declared dead. Anyway, my point is that there was so much tension, but it moved, and it was awesome.

Oh wow, thank you so much. It's such a fraught situation, especially for someone like Harry, who has always been odd man out. I'm so glad this story worked for you.
