Thanks. There are a couple more Gwen/Owen fics on my LJ, if you haven't seen them already.

aw, this was so sweet!
really enjoyed my read ^^

there seriously needs to be more Gwen/Owen... why isn't there?
write more, write more!

(also, thank you, I think you got my inspiration working again... trying to complete a Gwen/Owen claim of sorts and I got stuck. But some lovely reading like this surely helped ♥)

I adore this, because it captures the love/hate element of their relationship, and the subsequent external relationships, so well. It would be so much easier, all of it, if they didn't actually care about each other in this mess. If they only cared about the others, and what they had really was only a part-time shag. Great job!

Thank you very much for your kind words. I really love the Gwen/Owen relationship and I think part of that love is all the external stuff that should, but doesn't, keep them apart.

BTW, I love your icon.

Gwen/Owen was one of the initial dynamics that I just adored in Torchwood, partially because it's such a trainwreck - you know it's going to blow up in your face, but you also can't look away. The affection and sense of responsibility that comes with working in life or death situations, and the desperate need for understanding that comes seeing what they see, just has so much potential. Granted, it has to be handled carefully, but it's still just fascinating.

RE: the icon - Thanks! I made it when I started working on what I now jokingly call the Torchwood Monster - I've got a Gwen/Owen fic that's somehow grown to 11,000 words, and will probably be close to 20,000 all told (it's two parts, and part one is somewhere around 8,500 while part two is still an outline and clocking in at 3,000). And there might be a sequel.

I think it's just this pairing. It just takes on a life of its own sometimes. More than once, it felt like Owen and Gwen were simply doing what they wanted, to hell with my plot. :-)
