i'm going vegetarian, trying yoga, and reading introduction to buddhism, all an attempt to find my identity. my dissatisfaction level is pretty high. i've been a weak imitation, unconsciously, for too long. i think about dying too much these days but then i hear robert randolph and get lost in his guitar. i need answers.

I was terrified all day that whereever you went I wasn't going with you so I was prepping myself on how to handle that and then I saw this on my friend of list and I was thrilled so thank you for bringing me along with you, really because I think I couldn't deal without knowing you were around, honestly.

I wish I could be a vegetarian, actually. But alas, I like chicken and hamburgers too much. But good for you. I'm glad you're at least trying to lessen your dissatisfaction level or whatever.

High school will be over soon and I know you don't want to hear that, but after you're gone for awhile, things get a lot better.

You'll be okay.

ps: I just realized this. I'm sitting here going, "Suntrust. That sounds familiar. Suntrust." But I didn't really think about it, it just kind of floated through my head.

And then I looked at it again and, uhm. Suntrust is the name of my bank. Haha. I just find that amusing. Your Livejournal is named after my bank! (Except not really, but everytime I go to the ATM or to deposit a paycheck, there's a guarantee that I'll think of you. So you should feel special.)

And I know you don't care, but I had to mention it because it amuses me. xo.

vegetarians can eat chicken.
and alas, everytime i think of my livejournal, i will think of your bank.
it was named after a band actually, one of my favorite songs.
suntrust - how insensitive.

well, most 100% true vegetarians do not eat ANY meat whatsoever.

you should go to the Peta website & get their free brochure/booklet sent to you, it's good. i got it maybe 2 years ago & it had cool recipes & information.

I really admire you going vegetarian. That seems really hard to me, and I would if I didn't like my meat so much.

i'm starting to question my motivation.
the only reason i decided to go vegetarian was because meat starting causing troubles to my health
and i thought - i might as well go vegan.
not out of "morals" or "beliefs" which all my friends are.

whoa. good call. its so much healthier to go without animal products. its hard too though. you have to question absolutely EVERYTHING that you eat. like cheese - does it contain rennet [animal intestine] or is it rice cheese [which still contains casien, a milkproduct, unless you buy the super expensive stuff]. but good job being motivated. milk is definitely the one i have a hard time sticking with [i always thoguht eggs were gross, so i dont miss them] - just because its in everything. but just remember that milk is already digested and its designed for baby COWS not humans. it makes them grow a gazillion times faster.

eh. thats just weird.
also, if your digestive system is wearing you down you may want to reconsider wheat. there are alternative grains [kamut, rice, buckwheat, soy, rye, etc] that are just as easy to bake with [some more than others] and dont make your intestines cramp up.

cheers.
