Just back from an hour long walk-2.5 miles or so and uneventful :) It felt great to get out and stretch my legs after the last 3 days or so. My surgeon phoned me to check in on me. I truly think she cares and is just puzzled as hell. She is equally confident as I am that this is not my appendix. I had some strange sensations earlier this

I hate to be a sour note on your optimistic views, hon, but please please be careful. Your comment "However, I think I might just live with it, as long as I'm not in terrible pain, and have it further evaluated in 9 or so months when I again will likely have health insurance." constitues a pre-existing condition, and many insurance plans (through *all* carriers) will be within their guidelines to deny payment for claims for this. When you get a policy, be sure to get one that does not have a pre-ex clause or have a regular (less expensive) policy, but pay a little extra to have the pre-ex removed.

That's precisely what I'm thinking :) I figure if I don't have any further probs with this, that it *may* not get considered a pre-existing condition. Likely, an appendix will not stay inflamed for 9 months or so. But, if so...well then at least I'll be making far more money than I do currently at my whopping $200 or so a month!
