worst gift ever...

I received today in the mail a package from my godparents so eagerly I ripped it open...to find a photo album. Not bad, kinda of special, right? Well, I open it up to find a few pictures of my mom that she had given them along with notes she wrote them and the rest were all the baby pictures they had of me up until my high school graduation-

I don't know your godparents, obviously, but I could probably say that their intentions are far different than your mother's were in giving the photos! They probably just wanted to give you the memories, a piece of yourself so to speak, and probably meant well by it.

Perhaps, but not even a birthday card...just a sticky note on the photo album?!!

That is a bit odd. :/ Maybe they were just lazy.. though I've been guilty of just including a little note with presents I've mailed to some of my family members in the past, hehe. d'oh. :)

??? It's a strange gift, that's for sure. I felt kind of weird when my mom tried giving me back some of the art I did when I was in high school. I didn't want any of it because 1) they suck, and 2) they were kind of painful for me to see. too much drama and emotional hang-ups tied in with high school. So, she trashed them! I know she wanted to clean up, but it still felt strange to see her throw them away. I felt like if they were going to end up in the garbage, I should have been the one to do it.
