metaphors...

I can't tell you how much I/we have encountered construction literally EVERYWHERE lately. I'm seriously not kidding. While I realize that it *is* summer, it seems to be affecting me no matter what city, state, or neighborhood I'm in. I dunno, i'd say the analogy is pretty accurate. I've been trying to 'rebuild' a lot of lost friendships lately.. i'd like to think the renewed social activities are an improvement for my state of mind. Hopefully your own will be beneficial?

Yeah, I think it will be beneficial eventually. I don't so much worry about my friendships since I personally feel that if I work on who I am and work to have things/people I care about, then the friendships build naturally. For me, I guess it is more of evaluating who I am and what I want (and don't want). I want caring & genuine people in my life. Those who don't care for me, I'd rather not have in my life. It isn't the numbers, it's the quality of the relationships.

As far as the renewed social activities for yourself, I think that was a great improvement...you seem so much more open and caring than you had in the past. Perhaps it took going into that "cave" to reach that point in your life?
