I also run the 5k Koman "Race for the Cure"...every year (except this last one poo) and I cannot tell you how great it felt to cross that finish line at a decent time, even though I'm not a runner. It was challenging, but it wasn't too bad at all. So I think even if you power walk mildly, this race to doable! Besides when it first starts, there are so many people there is no room to run, so you HAVE to walk for part of it. Heh.
