You already believe but where are you looking when you say you wish you saw signs of a spirit to carry on your life your everything once your body dies? Its in you, you just have to find it. I just wonder what you're doing to find it, essentially, where you're looking. Do something you're passionate about. When you find that you're happier even if it was hard/tiring, thats proof of soul to me.

I don't already believe it. Wishing to believe and believing is something completely different. Doing something I'm passionate about even when it's difficult is simply proof of being passionate about something.

Odd, since the other day I told someone about this:

You should atleast realize that without your brain, you'd be helpless to actually remember anything.

I wasn't trying to make a statement implying that you said you didn't want a brain. I was just saying, it's just absolutely ridonkulous to think that you could actually hang onto memories after your hypothetical "soul" had left the body.

So did DesCartes, ergo dualism.

However, wishful thinking does not create reality.

I trust your pursuit of the Truth, but I would doubt you if you claimed you had found it.

I was merely stating that I know that DesCartes developed dualism out of this sort of thing, and also that wishful thinking doesn't create reality.

I'm far from the pursiut of any truth.
