My Day at the DW Proms *squee*

Had an absolutely amazing time! Just...wow- it was my first ever Proms, and it was one of the events I was planning to do this summer, as well as Lovebox and travelling and all those other wasted plans, but oh I had wanted to go to a DW concert ever since I saw the Music and Monsters thing and a minor dream had been realised.

Because I'm poor, I ( Read more... )

Hello! I saw you mention at persiflage's journal that you went to the Prom too, so clicked on your journal hoping for a reaction post. And what a lovely reaction post it was: I was smiling all throughout! You description of the atmosphere, feeling like a kid again, crying The Doctor's Theme (I did too, and I was just listening through my mp3 player. What it must have been like live boggles the mind!) makes it sound like it was a huge success ( ... )

Aw thanks hun. I really had an amazing time. I almost didn't go because I was working at half 12 last night. The Doctor Forever was amazing - towards the end of it they showed the clip of Jenny dying and the Doctor losing people and it was so emotional.

As for the German porn stars, think of the blond guy in Street Fighter - they were wearing male tank tops and their hair was blond and sticking up straight. They were very lovely to meet though. I didn't touch the Ood's face because there were all these people and I felt like I should be setting a good example for the kids, lol.

I grew up with Harry Potter (discovered it after PoA came out) and I was in the fandom big time, and now I've shifted to Who almost completely, I never thought that would happen. Ben Foster was a total cutie - when he moving around the Dalek it was so funny. Can't wait to watch it again! Thanks for the comment.

Ps: If you've got time, would you like to read my fic (its the previous entry)? I'm new at writing fanfic, but people seem to like it :) xxx

Same happened to me. My love of HP is deep-rooted and forever (re-read Deathly Hallows recently. OH, THE AWESOME.), but there doesn't seem much point anymore in discussing it with fans now that it's finished and there's nothing left to speculate about (that said, I noticed for the first time a possible Fawkes cameo in DH). Then I discovered Who and that's keeping me nicely occupied.
Just realised. Was the reporter from the Times in fact meet Caitlin Moran? She's a legend! She called David Tennant a 'timephwoard' *g*.
Off to read your fic now :)

I'm so annoyed that I couldn't go. :(
But at least my internets worked for a bit so I caught the end of it on Radio 3.

Yeah, I missed you there too. You probably would have gotten me out of the house earlier as well! I'm glad I went because I've been looking forward to seeing it for months :) xxx
