Things were easy. I had everything handed to me. High school was the easiest time of my life. You didn't depend on yourself to live. I lived with my parents and was for. Now I don't, I don't have anything. College is not the best 4 years of your life, high school was.
Happiness is dependent on environment. If everythings going poorly for you, there's no way you can be happy about it. Heirarchy of Needs. Check it out.
Yes. It's one day, and was free all day and doesn't mess with your head about stuff I was talking about, it just makes you appreciate music more. But I've always been partial to music.
Maybe things were easier, but there were rough times in highschool too. Rough times can happen anywhere, and in my opinion it's better to look ahead to what could be than to look back to what was, because what was will never again happen exactly the same way.
Also, under Maslow's need hierarchy, you most likely have everything you currently need, and therefore should be happy, but you're not, if things are solely dependent on the environment. Spiritual people would argue otherwise. Buddhists think things are completely dependent on the person and their mind. They don't let the outside world affect them. Born again Christians think that you can have nothing, but as long as you have Jesus you'll be happy. See meditation therapy, etc.
No, I took high school for granted. I appreciate it more now than you or anyone knows. And I know what has made me happy in the past, with no knowledge of what will make me happy therefore why not reminisce on past times that you sort of have back sometimes rather than conjure up false future fantasies that prolly won't come true. In my experience, it's best to not dream ahead, because it only lets you down.
As for me having everything I need... I'd like you to stand in my house and tell me that. I've like you to hold my money and tell me that. You can't be happy without a home because it's a physiological need that I don't have. Therefore I'm allowed to be not happy. Plus, I don't believe in God or Jesus.

Was everything ever simple, easy or perfect, or do you just choose to remeber it as such?
Can people create/destroy their own happiness no matter their circumstance or is emotion completely dependent on surroudings, moments, and others?
Should you really be 4:20-ing on days when you're having conflicting thoughts and/or emotional distress?
