If you feel the need to quit then I think you should. *shrug* It should never have been TOP priority in my opinion.

I think you're missing the keyword. It's called slash FICTION for a reason.

You said it was "slandering" people we don't know. You could just as easily change the character's names [to anything!] and the stories would stay intact. It has nothing to do with the people. They are just stories.

Also, I think it's mainly people being creative and they would probably write regular fiction if there was an audience for it. As it is, people read slash, so people write it.
