So it looks like I'm going to be able to apply to Trent for the fall after all. They said there's no guarantee that they'll be able to process everything in time, but that I should definitely apply anyway because they will probably "be able to make room for me" or something like that. Anyhow, that's pretty exciting, I think.

Oh, you're so in. :) I applied a month before starting. I went in with my application and just handed them a photocopy of my high school transcript (nothing even close to an official copy, like they're supposed to get). I was supposed to show them my birth certificate or something to prove my citizenship, but I didn't have it on me that day, so they said to just get it to them whenever. I never got around to bringing it to them. Had I been an international student, I could have gotten away with quite the discount on tuition since they just assumed with no proof that I was Canadian! LOL Oh Trent...

What are you thinking about taking?

Yeah, that's what Nick said. He applied in August and got it, too. We've sent a faxed request for my University transcripts and just found out that we need my high school ones too, even though I've been out for like 6 years. So we'll see how it goes. Worst case, I start in January.

I'm going to take business. It'll help in my long term goals of wanting my own bakery or B&B, and will be more profitable more quickly than having to be a chef's appretice for a long time. I'll study the cooking later when we're a little more in the green consistently.

As Nick can tell you, business is a really good program to take a univ and the only people I know that graduated from Trent that got jobs right away in their area of study were admin student. Lucky bastards! ;) Plus, you've got a live-in tutor, so that kicks some ass. You can get OSAP, right?

I can get OSAP, but I don't qualify for it until January. I've been approved for a student line from TD (shocming choice of banks, I know!:P) until then.

And believe me - I'm counting on that live-in tutor! :D
