If it's me you're referring to, don't think of me as an enemy. I don't dislike you or wish you ill whatsoever. you seem to be in a very angry place, but I totally get that given all that you're going through right now in terms of huge, major stressors. I'm not entirely out of that trans-rage stage myself. maybe I never will be. maybe none of us who experience that ever will be, though I do feel it's much improved for me in the last year or so ( ... )

PS: setting all that aside, myself and another trans woman lawyer and activist from TO (sorry, over 30 but barely so) are interested in perhaps doing some organizing of a voice/body for trans lawyers in Ontario, and perhaps across Canada, perhaps under the rubric of OBA/CBA/SOGIC (though neither of us particularly want to spend money on joining those orgs..so...) nothing firm at this point, but would you have any interest in such a project?

PPS: a project I've very recently become involved in is launching something called the Trans Human Rights Campaign, and it hopes to credibly deliver exactly that, focused as a first goal on the seemingly achievable (with some hard work and avoidance of the usual implosions) task of getting an amendment to the Ontario Human Rights Code passed, in order to add gender identity as a prohibited ground of discrimination. It is the most hope-inspiring bit of community activism I've seen yet in Ontario, as a lot of strong personalities and credible, successful activists appear to be setting aside differences and committing to a cause that will benefit every trans person in this province, and likely Canada. I feel very privileged (yes, in all senses of that word) to have been invited to be part of it. It would benefit, in my view, from the addition of intelligent, articulate, firmly commmitted to the cause, task/goal-oriented, legally/politically savvy and hard-working trans or genderqueer or (insert gender identity here) people who aren' ( ... )
