I think my bones are falling apart

I either need to see a really good masseuse or a chiropractor...possibly both. I've been having this pain in my neck, shoulders and upper back, and when I get tense at work I can actually feel AND hear my spine shifting somehow- it's so weird. Part of it is probably from looking down at my lap top and not sitting up straight in my chair, but most ( Read more... )

I recommend massage, seriously. deep tissue will get out those knots. if you go chiro the muscles will still be fatigue and pull your bones back out of wack. the muscles are where it is baby. $60 is a great price. think of it as $1/min that's really not that bad at all! totally worth it, trust me!

when I waitressed I had to go monthly or I couldn't carry things anymore it got that bad. now I go every 3rd mnth because of lifting patients etc. see if your insurance will cover it, if your dr. recommends you for it- which more and more are doing now b/c they are realizing the need to have you muscles working well to prevent back/shoulder/neck injuries in the future. plus it relieves stress which makes you healthier!

trust me, it's worth it!
Sincerely
Nurse Jessie, RN BSN

Well... it's actually $60 for 25 minutes, so it's really $2.40 per minute. I can't remember how much an hour was, I think I stopped looking when I saw the $60 for 25 minutes.

But I think you may be right about getting it done anyway. I need relief from this, it sucks. Thanks, Nurse Jessie!

$60 for 25 minutes is murder! it should be $60 for an hour, or $75ish for a whole body which is typically 1.5 hrs

I am going to call my insurance place and ask about that, and also see if I could get a massage with a co-pay (HA!, but we'll see).

Have you used a chiropractor before? It sounds slightly scary, with the cracking and forcable shifting of bones and whatnot.

I know two great Chiropractors in Livonia. Dr Shaner and Dr. Wallace. Both operate out of Shaner Chiropractic on Middlebelt, just south of Plymouth rd. They do amazing work.

As for Massage, I know of one person whose liscensed. I'm told I give great massages, and I do give them free. Longest one I gave was 5 hrs. For FREE.

Yeah, like I told Dan (above) I will definitely be looking into Chiropractors- I'll keep those two guys you suggested in mind, see if I can get them with my insurance.

Thanks for the free massage offer!
