Singin the Saturday night boredom blues

Apr 29, 2006 22:30

Man, tonight is such a bust. I'm so bored that I actually went food shopping tonight. Now I'm just sitting around watching the Surreal Life and drinking box wine (white zin) and going online. Blaaah ( Read more... )

Don't worry about it at all, you're being a responsible student, and I've been in that situation before, so I understand. Plus, I did call my friends to see what they were up to and they didn't feel like doing anything either, and when I got back from shopping, I didn't either. Sometimes you just gotta have a boring weekend once in a while, so it's all good :)

I still have weekends off. You could've called me. I'm usually not up to much as you probably would've guessed.

Yeah, I actually thought about calling you. I figured you were working, I don't think I knew you had saturdays off still. Do they still think you have a girlfriend too?

Can I ask why the certain foods or the need to eat that way?

I'm trying to lose some weight, so I'm cutting out everything that's bad for me. Trying to eat things high in protein and fiber, and low in carbs, fat and sugar.

That's ridiculous. You don't need to lose weight. Don't be one of those girls, you're too smart for that.

I want to have a good form, and I want my clothes to fit well. Asthetics are important to me. But don't worry, I just want to get to a good weight, I'm not going Nicole Richie on anybody.

Are you any good with a frying pan? Do you like eggs?

I came up with an egg-white omelette recipe that will knock yer socks off. And because eggs are involved, its pretty cheap. In fact, I'm trying to do a lot more 'cooking' type stuff, so if you ever want to exchange recipes, etc, please just let me know.

Is it a healthy egg-white omlette? I'm open to suggestions. Although I must admit I am prejudiced against eggs with no yolk, I love the yolk, and I think yolkless eggs are sad and pathetic and I want to kick them. But maybe you have a way to give them back their dignity?

I used to agree with your yolk opinion, but I've found ways.... *evil laugh*

right...

care to share recipes?

Yikes, actually I have none to share. I don't ever make omlets because you have to buy too much stuff, and I don't usually have the patience for them. What is your "knock your socks off" recipe?

I know what you mean about some ridiculous saying stuck in your head! I find myself talking to my patients and saying "and all that jazz". all the time. so stupid! must get out of my head!

btw I don't think you need to lose weight. I know I haven't seen you in awhile but common, there's no reason for you to start an extreme diet.

Yeah, phrases like that are so annoying when they're stuck in your head! lol

Dude, I gained 20 pounds from what I was 2 years ago. But don't worry, the diet isn't that extreme, it's just eating smaller portions of healthier things. I need to stop the weight gain before it gets out of control. My clothes haven't been fitting, I've felt lazy, less energetic and self-conscious, so I'm trying to remedy that. I feel better already, just from a couple months of improved diet.
